About Accelerate Health
At most clinics that offer both chiropractic care and physical therapy, one discipline runs the show — the chiropractor sets the plan, and the physical therapist carries it out. We built Accelerate Health differently. Our chiropractors and physical therapists have equal clinical autonomy, and they work together on your case instead of one directing the other.
That’s not just a chiropractic-plus-rehab arrangement with a different name. It means your treatment plan reflects two full clinical perspectives from day one, not one plan with a supporting service attached to it. And as our medical side of the practice continues to grow, that same philosophy extends there too — our nurse practitioner and Dr. Justin Merkow, MD, are woven into care, not kept separate from it.

An Evidence-Based Practice, Not a Straight Chiropractic Clinic
focuses narrowly on spinal alignment and treats it as the root of nearly everything. We practice evidence-based care: adjustments, exercise, and therapy guided by what an exam actually shows, in partnership with medical providers rather than in place of them.
About half of our patients come to us for spine-related pain. The other half come in for shoulder, knee, hip, and ankle injuries. We treat both with the same evaluation-first approach, and we’re direct with patients about what a given technique or treatment can and can’t do for their specific case.
Two Locations, One Standard of Care
We serve patients from two locations, Denver and Lakewood, with the same collaborative, individualized approach at both — neither location is a secondary outpost of the other. Physical therapists split time between both offices; each location has its own dedicated chiropractors. The one meaningful clinical difference is our on-site regenerative medicine lab, based in Lakewood, where PRP and BMAC (bone marrow aspirate concentrate) procedures are performed for shoulder, knee, and elbow injuries that haven’t fully responded to more conservative care.
Regenerative Medicine, Performed by a Physician
Harvard-trained, board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain specialist. That physician-level involvement, paired with individualized biologic processing through Greyledge Technologies at our Lakewood lab, is a level of clinical oversight that’s unusual for a multidisciplinary outpatient office. We currently offer these treatments for extremity conditions — shoulders, knees, and elbows — and we’re upfront when a case calls for something outside what we currently provide on-site.
Auto Accident and Personal Injury Care
Personal injury and auto accident recovery is one of the services we focus on most, and it’s a place where our medical, chiropractic, and PT teams work as one from the start. Dr. Merkow evaluates patients whose recovery isn’t tracking the way it should, so a stalled case doesn’t sit unaddressed waiting on a routine follow-up. We also handle the documentation side of a claim directly, so the record reflects what actually happened rather than a shortcut version of it.
Roots in Sports Medicine
Our practice has history that goes back further than our current name suggests. Before Accelerate Health took its current shape, this practice operated as an Active Release Technique clinic, and that sports-medicine heritage still shows up in how we treat athletes and active patients today.
How We Handle Payment
We’re direct about how we approach payment. We don’t operate on a pressured, multi-visit package model built around a locked-in treatment plan sold on your first visit. We accept most major insurance, and if you’re paying out of pocket, we offer discounted visit packages and a monthly wellness membership instead.

Every provider here — whether they’re focused on chiropractic care, physical therapy, regenerative medicine, or medical evaluation — works from the same starting point: individualized care built around what your exam actually shows, not a standard script applied regardless of who walks through the door.
