What to Expect on Your First Visit

Welcome to your first step on the journey to wellness.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Your First Appointment

At Accelerate Health, we want you to feel comfortable and in control while receiving treatment. That’s why it’s important to us that you know exactly what to expect from your very first visit.

During your first appointment, you can expect:

  • A warm welcome from our friendly staff who will ask you to complete new patient paperwork
  • Health history questions and vitals check from a staff member
  • Detailed discussion with your doctor about your current condition and symptoms
  • A thorough orthopedic exam from your doctor
  • An individualized treatment plan, taking your goals and expectations into account
  • Same day treatment to begin providing immediate relief
  • Instructions for home care and next steps

How To Prepare for Your First Appointment

Schedule an appointment in advance for a time when you’ll be able to relax and focus on the consultation

Gather relevant medical records, including a list of current medications and copies of recent medical tests or imaging like X-rays, MRIs, or CT scans

Start considering what goals you have for your treatment. This can include what activities you want to be able to participate in, or the level of medication you want to use

If applicable, make a note of the quality, frequency, and duration of your pain or other symptoms. The more specific your description, the more helpful it will be for our team in developing a treatment plan
